Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a SAP S/4 ABAP Developer based in Ballabgarh. The SAP S/4 ABAP Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms within SAP S/4HANA. The role includes analyzing functional requirements, collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders, and translating specifications into efficient, scalable ABAP solutions. Daily responsibilities involve troubleshooting and optimizing existing code, performing unit testing, and supporting integration and user acceptance testing. The developer will also help ensure adherence to SAP best practices, document technical designs, and provide ongoing production support for implemented solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with SAP ABAP development in S/4HANA, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA concepts such as CDS views, OData services, ABAP on HANA optimization, and modern development tools (e.g., Eclipse, ADT).
- Ability to analyze functional specifications, propose technical designs, and translate business requirements into robust ABAP solutions.
- Experience with testing, debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SAP environments.
- Familiarity with SAP modules (such as FI, MM, SD, PP, or others) and integration points is preferred.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to follow coding standards, version control, and change management processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a similar SAP ABAP role, especially on S/4HANA projects or implementations, is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies and adapt in a dynamic project environment.
